Hi Everyone" I need help about the about the analysis of This Poem of Jose Rizal "The Song Of the Traveller"?

Here is the Poem:

The Song of the Traveller
by Jose Rizal

Like to a leaf that is fallen and withered,
Tossed by the tempest from pole unto pole ;
hus roams the pilgrim abroad without purpose,
Roams without love, without country or soul.
Following anxiously treacherous fortune,
Fortune which e 'en as he grasps at it flees ;
Vain though the hopes that his yearning is seeking,
Yet does the pilgrim embark on the seas !

Ever impelled by the invisible power,
Destined to roam from the East to the West ;
Oft he remembers the faces of loved ones,
Dreams of the day when he, too, was at rest.

Chance may assign him a tomb on the desert,
Grant him a final asylum of peace ;
Soon by the world and his country forgotten,
God rest his soul when his wanderings cease !

Often the sorrowing pilgrim is envied,
Circling the globe like a sea-gull above ;
Little, ah, little they know what a void
Saddens his soul by the absence of love.

Home may the pilgrim return in the future,
Back to his loved ones his footsteps he bends ;
Naught wìll he find but the snow and the ruins,
Ashes of love and the tomb of his friends,

Pilgrim, begone ! Nor return more hereafter,
Stranger thou art in the land of thy birth ;
Others may sing of their love while rejoicing,
Thou once again must roam o'er the earth.

Pilgrim, begone ! Nor return more hereafter,
Dry are the tears that a while for thee ran ;
Pilgrim, begone ! And forget thine affliction,
Loud laughs the world at the sorrows of man.

And so hi everyone would you please give me an analysis about his poem"

Answer :
There are several ways to interpret this poem.I believe it's easier to do it line by line but it will take so much time so I'll just do a quick one here.

On the 1st paragraph; the poet is comparing himself to a dead leaf(fallen/withered) that gets blown by the wind(tempest) wherever(from pole to pole(north/south/east/west)).Like he has no purpose;he's wandering without love(no family,girlfriend or someone close to him),without a country (he's banished) or soul.He's following something of great purpose,maybe a great dream that could cause him his life (treacherous fortune) though its within his grasp,its in vain or futile and that is why he is in foreign land like a pilgrim.

2nd,3rd and 4th paragraphs; he's describing his great sadness being alone and far away from his homeland.Often he thinks of his loved ones.He accepted that God or a Great Being (invisible power) has given this destiny of his and finds solace that someday he will cease to be a pilgrim (and go back to his homeland).Also, he thought that he might be killed abroad and that he will be forgotten by his country and rest of the world.

5th paragraph:He's hoping to go back home and that he might not have anyone waiting there for him anymore;his love,his loved ones nor his friends.

6th & 7th stanzas:basically are closing stanzas that if ever (he goes back and everyone's gone)he will be a stranger in his own home and that he will be the laughing stock of all so he should forget his affliction or sadness for now.(Loud laughs the world at the sorrows of man)!

Great poem!The poet is expressing his love for his country of birth while in sojourn abroad.
